Darig Thokmay is a DPhil student in Oriental Studies at Oxford University under the supervision of Prof. Ulrike Roesler.

Thokmay's research works focus on various aspects of Tibet's relations with China and Mongolia in the early eighteenth century. For his DPhil studies, Thokmay compares primary Tibetan, Chinese and Manchu materials to comprehend first-hand information about these three countries and their foreign policies to influence each other.
