French-Dutch trained Sinologist, with a very broad interest in the Sinosphere, I currently work on ‘silent’ argument making in ancient China, though I previously specialised in the study of evolving persuasion tactics in the 21st century PRC. Between 2019 and 2021, I worked as a policy analyst in Beijing, first as a trainee at the Delegation of the European Union and subsequently for an Australian think-thank. I have also taught a number of classes around the topic of modern and contemporary Chinese literature. In my free time, I pursue a passion for foreign languages (currently learning Spanish and Japanese) and am an avid reader and traveller.
